Here is a VW story for you.

Back in the 60s we'd go visit my aunt and uncle in VT around Xmas.

He'd tie a rope to the back of his bug and tow us down the street on a toboggan. When he got up enough speed he'd tap the brakes to tell us to let go of the rope then he'd take off and it would be smooth sailing for us.

Kids don't try this at home.
