Most of competitive games will go easy on your GPU. You don't need a good GPU to play most of those games. In fact, most pro players would lower their graphics in-game to the minumum, because all those in-game effects are only distracting them.

When I'm watching a stream of a professional CS:GO player on Twitch - no one is asking what kind of GPU they're using. Because nobody cares. What they will ask him in chat is what kind if mouse&keyboard he's using. And people would ask it so often, that most streamers have their gear available on written form right under the stream.

Anyway yes - it's basically their commercial between games and logos on walls etc.
