Jeff Sessions: A former aide to Sessions said that, as attorney general, he will make national security and fighting terrorism a top priority.

"America's immigration systems makes us vulnerable to terrorism"

The aide said that Sessions is “strongly in favor of an extremely tough stance on terrorists and believes that there’s also a place for military commissions for unlawful foreign enemy combatants.

One of the first things he would do is emphasize “finding and disrupting, in cooperation with the FBI and Homeland Security Department, terrorist cells in the United States,” the former aide said. “There’s a thousand open investigations right now. That will be a very high priority for him.”
