I believe regardless of what economy and society we get . . . F will be there trying to built good vehicles. Never forget F is part of our military readiness USA-based switch-over production capability.

What I wrote did not come from a conservative or liberal viewpoint.
I felt what I posted was just my view of logic. We are all going to have to adapt to 'New Times'.

Yes, I have invested in some Chinese stocks and got burned also.
China's goal is to become number one force in world in everything it can. We in USA have bend over backwards to help China to accomplish its goal, and our leaders and business folk cannot look us in the eye and explain WHY this reality is happening.

Ford's move into Silicon Valley makes a lot of sense for its future.

I would not put its too off-the-wall to see a large entity in Silicon Valley team up directly with F, or to outright buy it.
We are apparently facing a dawning era of huge possible consolidation on our larger companies, as they try to grow by acquisition? That seems another aspect of F to keep in mind.

I do not know how F will get young folk to be buyers of its cars.
This will be interesting to watch evolve.

I am not in F right now, and just waiting to see how next few months go, I have some cash (just small investor, but I like its dividend and under $11 (if it happens) is getting close to cash value of company and its assets?

The future of cars is going to be heavily electronic and that means much higher prices to buy and maintain. Personally, I think F and other car makers are depending way too much on earning profits by replacing high priced electronics. The potential and actual customer is going to be 'pissed' when their bill arrives for a computer re-install that they know is just a common laptop level production item on the larger market.

And, with huge inner-city traffic jams, electric motorbikes and buses may not seem so bad a transportation choice. We are going to have to design our cities such that businesses and production jobs are based in speciality corridors where we can control the type and amount of traveling it takes to get to work sites.
Limits to growth in urban settings is going to happen and maybe there will be population control and 'new citizens' enforced.

Anyone see Congress up to above, as now driven by special interests desires?
