When someone who is running a scam is confronted by those who have been scammed, insists that their personal loss is far greater than those being scammed, it's nothing more than a self defense coping mechanism to prevent themselves from feeling guilty.

"Don't blame me for losing your money, I have lost some too"

It's shows the true amateurism at play here.
