why is the share price staying so low for so many days after the pricing, filling (in about 1 hour), and closing of the public offering which almost everyone agrees was priced at what seemed to be highway robbery to the current shareholder base?

IMO a few of possible reasons why would be:

1) the stock appeared to be shorted down heavily in days from the offering announcement without pricing, up until the pricing announcement, and then again of course after that announcement for an apparent 25% discount to the already seemingly rock bottom closing price just prior to that announcement, so that would mean there would then be needed short covering on the back side which presumably has occurred now at these lower prices

2) the new shares came with a warrant so participants who bought (ie sophisticated investors) may have been selling off the newly acquired shares to just keep the warrant which came with a 5 year window at only a bit higher price

3) those who make the market may be graciously allowing smaller retailers who have no access to the PO to "participate" in the after-market equivalent of the PO (albeit without a warrant); this would be smart on their part because it lends credibility to the actual offering price as being truly a bonafide "market value", and I would expect this timeframe to be limited to the next positive developments pr which I believe is expected 11/28/2016
