That goat fell off a truck and wandered into a tavern. Instead of becoming gyro meat it got made into a pet, so there is no doubt that goat used up an awful lot of whatever luck was available.

Personally, I think it was a black cat from Flushing Meadows that was the Cub's curse. Through at least most of my lifetime anyway...
