I agree with Conix and do not expect KPMG to somehow be held accountable. IN the scheme of Wells Fargo's accounts nationally, it has appeared that the bad accounts that were opened up to make it appear that an associate had met their goals, was a very small fraction of 1 % of all accounts. IMO, it would have been hard for KPMG, in the scope of a routine audit of financials, to have been able to spot unauthorized accounts.
