COLUMBUS, Ohio — An Ohio University student decided a chance to see the Indians play in Game 1 of the World Series was more important than being in class. Fortunately for him, his professor found that to be a reasonable excuse.
Twitter user Charles Turner posted an email exchange to Twitter showing the response. Damian Nance was wondering about his absence, because his name was signed in on the attendance tracker, but when the professor took attendance later, he wasn't in class. The professor wasn't happy about the possible deceit.
Charles came clean in his reply, telling him his dad was able to get tickets to go to the World Series, so he only showed up to class to sign in and drop off his homework. He even included a picture showing himself and his brother at the game.
According to Nance's reply, it was "an impeccable excuse". He also added a "Go Tribe!"
The tweet showing the email exchange quickly went viral. Even Sports Center dubbed it as "Best college professor ever."
