"Is this the ONLY FDA Approved company Insys Therapeutics' $INSY on Cannabis-Based Drugs"

Hi, Myopinion.

There are a half-dozen or so pharmas and biotechs with FDA-approved pharmaceutical grade THC drugs on the market. Marinol was approved two decades ago in pill form but has terrible disadvantages since it goes through the digestive system with uncomfortable side effects at a minimum. Today there are patches and subcutaneous vaccines available containing dronabinol, the generic name of marinol. INSY's mist under-the-tongue delivery system is approved but marketing awaits completion of preparation such as manufacturing of adequate supplies, signing up wholesalers, promoters, doctors, etc.

INSY also has approvals for non-psychoactive cannabinoid drugs which have numerous proven and expected medical uses.

I notice there are a number of ads for cannabinoid drugs that are not approved by the FDA.

Greenwich Pharmaceuticals is a highly rated biotech with biologic cannabinoid drugs but none are approved in the U.S.

Hope that helps.

Best, Terry
