Market dumps in GLD and SLV although they are less effective now due to a number of factors including spot price being set in the Asian markets.

Once gold and silver are designated as Tier 1 capital banks can hold them to meet capital requirements. Then again all of this is likely to change but imo that's been the plan all along.
