Biopharm, nice article on Thiel and why he invested in that biotech. I especially liked this note which sounds a lot like what we have in PPHM:

if you are trying to build an end-to-end next-generation pharma company, then actually doing a lot of these things internally is correct. The ability to do complex coordination of different pieces of a business and make them work together is a very underrated entrepreneurial skill.

Owning Avid takes a lot of the complexity out of the different peices needed to get approval of and to market a new drug. Kinda makes you think that these guys, that so many have been saying do not know what they are doing, really DO KNOW what they are doing. Maybe Peter Thiel will see the same benefits in a PPHM investment that he did in Stemcentrx.
