Bigworld, Listening to Paul Craig Roberts, now I really want to bail out and head to New Zealand. He makes a very compelling case that the Russians have now concluded (correctly) that the US Neocons plan to nuke them.
He says the situation is 100 times more dangerous than it was during the Cold War. The Neocons are flat out nuts, and he said because the Neocons are not going to back down and don't care about the consequences, there are only two ways to avoid the coming disaster -
1) Putin has to back down
2) The Europeans have to disengage from the US and deny the Neocons the use of NATO's forward bases.
He didn't include this, but a third possibility would be the US somehow eliminating Putin and then getting someone like Medvedev in control in Russia (ie a pro-West puppet).
He says if Putin backs down on Syria, the Neocons will remove Assad but then begin their pivot to destabilize Iran and Russia. The Neocons will not stop, and they don't care if it leads to nuclear war, in fact some of them want WW III since the US has such superiority in nukes, ballistic missile submarines, space based systems, etc.
But it's virtually guaranteed that some Russian nukes would get through and the US would loose many 10s of millions of people. But to the Neocon madmen, that's an acceptable cost in order to get rid of Russia and China since they are all that separate them from their NWO dream of permanent global hegemony.
