Had two yuge coywolves in the backyard before dark tonight. What was unusual, besides their size, is they were totally confident and at ease acting, not darting and nervously coursing around like coyotes I've spotted here previously.
I assume they were a mating pair unless coywolves have inherited the pack behavior of their wolf dna. My neighbors with their Bootsiewoowoopoos in their backyards will likely raise a another special assessment to have permitted hunters try to find their den if I open my mouth...so mum's the word from me, all carpet rats had better be on high alert.
On second thought it's more fun to see the reactions, the last time I told my next door neighbors I saw a coyote a 1/2 mile from here, their labradoodle wasn't allowed outside on his own for a month.
My cat's already hip, she's shown little interest in going outside after dark all summer, which I had wrote off to her advancing old age.
