I was really surprised many years ago of the sheer number of Canadians that winter in Florida. Both my in-laws and folks wintered there for 20+ years and, being the good son (in-law too), we would visit them both for a couple of weeks in the early Spring. (They lived about 3 miles from each other) Maple leaf license plates were and still are almost as plentiful as U.S. plates and not just on cars. Mobile homes in Fl are considered to be travel trailers and are thusly required to be licensed as such and the plates must be displayed even when planted in the parks. Lots of folks put it in a window. Florida may not tax your home but they found a way around that loophole lol!
