SC, It's hardest when the clueless 'trendies' are family members since you have to be around these people, at least a few times a year. I have to avoid a lot of topics around Thanksgiving/Xmas for the sake of family harmony.
It's amazing how ill informed people can be, clinging to their familiar 'mythologies' and only believing information if it comes from some talking head on TV. My sister and her husband are smart in many ways (4.0 in college), but extremely naïve in others.
My theory is that with many people, beyond a certain age you can't break the programming, something ossifies in the brain. It could be a form of emotional protection to screen out things that don't fit with one's familiar and cherished world view.
Well looks like the dollar may be heading to 100 (currently 98.3 and rising), it broke out again today. Looks like the market is believing the Fed will raise in December. That could mute the rebound in gold/silver, at least for now, so more time to accumulate.
Btw, looks like Flowers Foods (FLO) is starting to finally bounce after its big swoon. The chart has that 'look'.
