imo the politicians are being threatened by the fascist pharma companies to shut this down. Playing both sides of the issue and knowing no one is paying attn. they just allow the industry to be consumed by the monster with the biggest checkbook.
Fascist oligarchs doing what they do.
It's basically what TPP is from what I've heard. Corporations taking over control of what little is left they don't currently own....
