Technically ? Maybe... they had what appears to be a successful phase III with a seemingly similar immunotherapy component. ( but also another agent )

It would take somebody way more knowledgeable than I am about the science, and the whole business to say "beat 'em to the punch". That seems quite a loaded statement. Meanwhile maybe there is all kinds of room for all kinds of subtle details. Or not...

And maybe the FDA gets to decide by hand-waving. Not sure how they do what when.

All this pooping on Geert, I can understand that, but imagine you are in his shoes and you have to make a business go, people employees fellow insiders and shareholders... he's between a rock and a hard place.

Although I found it a bit offensive the vast options provided to insiders, but hey, you have to keep 'em on-board to see this through. What do you do if you're not making any money...
