"Hello All. For those of you who don`t read THE NAMIBIAN an article a few weeks back told of how Galp Energia and a BEE local businessman named Knowledge Katti won PEL 23 ( the old HRT / Wingat block ) in a dubious decision. Apparently Katti was a mate of the minister.
Galp won the block in a runoff against Tullow and AZINAM (a switched on private explorer). There were seven initial applicants.
It seems Tullow love this patch. With a lost battle behind them and Q3 assessment of Eco`s Cooper block completed and deadlines looming, the way seems clear for Tullow to announce a drilling campaign. Back to back wells anyone?"
