I did a number of searches on clinical trials.gov and couldn't find any using this enzyme for alzheimer's disease or dementia of any sort.
It will be interesting to find if this was a one off event or if it holds true with others. Like you, I can't find any indication the drug has been studied for dementia in any form. It would be interesting to know what prompted them to try it.
It will be interesting to find out whether or not they are currently repeating this study on anyone else. Post what your family members treating physician thinks about trying this.

This is exciting Karin, I will look into this for my family member. Thank you. I read the paper and there is no mention of preclinical work with DNaseI for AD. Very strange. What possessed them to try this.
