"I really think Afrezza will survive..."?

Doubt it. Practically everyone I read who is using it are using it ONLY occasionally to deal with glucose "spikes." The few that are trying to use it as a regular prandial are needing to use huge doses to control their glucose. Adam Lasher, for example, reports needing at LEAST five boxes a month. Even if there were sufficient diabetics willing to inhale insulin every hour of their waking day, insurers are NOT going to pay $1,500 a month for afrezza when lispro can be gotten for $150 a month. And even if part-timers were willing to pay out of their own pocket, they are likely not sufficient to sustain a volume sufficient to justify manufacture.
