Merkel wants nothing to do with Doucha Bank because she wants to get REELECTED it's that simple. She might as well cut her own throat politically if she offered to bail out DB. She's not real popular after letting in all those immigrants right now.

If the Germans don't see the need to bail them out then who the else will? If DB fails and bank contagion sets in somebody's gonna have to ride to the rescue. I think Merkel just wants someone else to take the heat off of her and make the bail-out call.

I saw an interview with former SEC head, Sheila Bair this morning on TV and she said DB wasn't going to be a problem because they had the laws in place to head off any future problems. I personally think she doesn't have a friggin clue.
