Good day Magnum, as a follower of Jesus Christ we live each day in anticipation of His return and taking us to live with Him in heaven/paradise - today would be acceptable to me. For followers of Christ, this earth is not our home. Our home is with Jesus Christ in heaven - we are merely passing through this world on our way home. God, through Jesus Christ, is our blessed assurance.

Jesus told us:

“Your heart must not be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if not, I would have told you. I am going away to prepare a place for you. If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come back and receive you to Myself, so that where I am you may be also." ~ John 14:1-3

We are not to sit idly by waiting for His return though - we have a great commission:

"Then He (Jesus) said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." ~ Mark 16:15-16

"This is good, and it pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and humanity, Christ Jesus, Himself human, who gave Himself — a ransom for all, a testimony at the proper time." ~ 1 Timothy 2:3-6
