She will never mention the 10+ years of failures because the idea of this engine being anything other than a miraculous invention by her genius boyfriend would make her world crumble. Remember, her livelihood is directly related to being able to continually convince people to invest in this engine. The best con artists are the ones who actually believe their own lies and false truths. She has to keep pushing 24/7 believing that they are just 1 simple breakthrough away from being successful.
I wouldn't doubt that she truly believes that if it wasn't for you and Ken H. posting all these terrible things on iHub that Cyclone would have no problems raising millions more in funding and would have overcome that 1 hurdle years ago. It's easier to rationalize that than coming to terms with the fact this engine was fundamentally flawed from the very start.
The whole "we have never taken a salary" line has been mentioned for several years now. It may be true that they have not been on the payroll per say, but I can almost guarantee that a large portion of the "administrative costs" that are in the financials (which far exceeded what was spent on actual engine development) found it's way into their pockets. It might not have been directly but most likely in the form of paying for meals, cell phones, car payments, etc.
