While probuphine helps those already addicted, pot helps more from becoming future addicts. If elected crooks in office had been smarter, less corrupt and considerate of their constituents who can't afford a lobbyist (which is asking a lot) to have legalized weed a decade or two ago, probuphine may have never seen the light of (f)d-ay approval. Self-serving groups like big pharma, the police and prison guard unions, the liquor industry and privatized prisons - who've successfully fought and lobbied against pot legalization for so long - have helped create the opioid epidemic in a big way. Who is public enemy number one? The police? Elected officials? Lobbyists? Or all three? Looking at it from this angle takes some of the joy of profiting from this stock.
