POET's tech is already the product of decades of development. I have a hard time believing that Ajit would have come out of retirement to assemble a stellar management team around the final stages of lab-to-fab if he had not been 100% convinced that the inevitable problems of that transition were completely within their ability to solve. Men of this industry stature do not need to f**k around with something that will surely waste their time...

And why would Denselight and BB Photonics have sold themselves out (cheaply in fact) to POET if not for the peek under the hood in the course of that courtship revealing that POET had the goods, and that they would build something substantial in combination?

My father is a veteran of the semiconductor industry, right from the beginning. GaAs has always been the next paradigm in the same way that the Brooklyn Dodgers were always Next Year's Team; Ajit knew this of course, so Dr. Taylor HAD to have really cracked the code to even get his attention in the first place.

How do you dismiss all of this? or do you?
