After weeks of comparisons I finally found a Rubbermaid item on WalMart's new Jet.com acquisition for $12.85 delivered which was $4 less than Amazon.

During the same period I bought 19 items which were either less expensive on Amazon.com or which were not available on Jet.com


I don't know how WalMart plans to compete with Amazon online - the internet makes price comparison way too easy and they don't have the breadth to compete.

Particularly in a place like Los Angeles where we live, where the closest WalMart is more than a 45 minute drive and in a choice of terrible neighborhoods.

We've run out of other people's Social Security taxes needed to subsidize our low income tax rates.
