Hello eagles nice to hear from you. I hope you are dressing those wounds properly. First wash with warm soapy water. Then you can use hydrogen peroxide followed by colloidal silver all of which makes a wonderful disinfectant. A silver gel could be used as the final dressing covered by a sterile bandage. If you don't have silver gel then a triple antibiotic ointment can be applied. Problem is antibiotics don't destroy viruses but silver (and iodine) do. In lieu of peroxide iodine can be used. Do you know if the dog ever had rabies shots? Good luck.
