From IP law360 on October 7th. Voip-pal has filed a 2.7 billion dollar lawsuit against Twitter for infringing on its VoIP patents. It has already filed 7 billion dollars in lawsuits against Verizon, Apple, and AT&T. Not for nothing, that is a lot of money and most of the patent lawsuits are in the millions or hundreds of Millions.. Not billions. Now, I know we have those patents as well and I am not trying to get anybody too pumped but if I was one of those companies I would be buying patents or similar patents to defend myself against voip-pal... the lawsuit was filed in Nevada.. in a perfect world there would be a bidding war for our patents by one one of those major companies to defend themselves and we would be the beneficiaries..
