GILD may get negative news soon.

On Morning Joe on MSNBC, they were discussing the fact that the Federal Government cannot negotiate for lower prescription prices and brought up as an example GILD.

GILD's Hep C drug was a patent purchased by GILD. Cost $1.00 a pill to manufacture. Cost to Medicare? $1,000 a pill. Cures Hep C (usually using a 85 pills).

The VA turns away some Hep C patients due to the cost UNTIL they get sick enough.

There was so much outrage on the set, Scarborough begged people to call the White House (gave the number on air) and Congressman and Senators to protest.

Insult to injury? GILD is domiciled in Ireland--so no taxes to the US Government--the largest purchaser of prescription drugs on the planet.
