I pray and hope that you are right. People like Simmonds aren't able to get away with what they do without having a group of people who enable him. IMHO the people you mention are actually worse as many of them conned friends and family for a quick buck. Simmonds is a scumbag, but they didn't have to go along with him and could have turned Simmonds in when they realized that he was a crook.
