I assume you mean transcoding.
Once you upload a video to Clipstream cloud it is not anymore necessary to trancode in 3 or more different versions as the video is seen through the webbrouser so you don't need Flas, Real, Vcl or whatever player, the video just runs so you don't need to update any player where you could get infected by virus, makes it safe.

When you upload a video in YouTube on the backside there is transcoding needed, end user doesn't know nor recognize it but for Google in this case it costs money..don't know how much.

16 years ago video in internet was small, I.e. Not much if no video ads at this time, this changed completely.

16 years ago the risk for getting virus on you machine was quite low, this completely changed.

16 years ago there was no smartphone or tablet, this completely changed.

16 years ago music was distributed by cd and unsafe from copying, this completely changed.

16 years ago music videos are watched on tv, this completely changed.

There are so much reasons why Clipstream could get a successful business.
