I've got to get off my butt and get better prepared.

Give you an example of how I got another wake up call in a different way and how society has changed also.

Wife and I went on a trip through part of Montana, Idaho, and back into Washington back home.

So at work day before we left I called the Wife and asked her to make sure and pack our map book.

Long ago I had bought a really nice map book of all the states.

We've moved things around in our home quite a bit over the years as the kids have left and not going out of this state completely forgot where that book was as I know my way pretty good in this state.

So Wife calls me says can't find it and I said no big deal we be alright we got our phones.

That wasn't correct. LOL!

Turns out T-mobile for miles and miles in Montana had no connection at all so there I was driving on memory of how we had planned our trip.

Finally I said you know lets just buy a map this is crazy we make wrong turn we be in trouble.

That is the other wake up call as far as society has got so dependent on their phones to find a map it took me 5 stops.

I was amazed to go into stores and hear no we don't carry maps anymore.

Took 3 gas stations before we found one.

And then it was $5.00 for one state map. LOL!

This is what happens when we don't prepare. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Learned a lesson.
