Looking at GOLD the yearly trend line is clearly broken

but RSI 14 is over sold so yes a short term bounce is coming. where the
down side target is probably going to be around $1200. If anything changes
ill post it. hope this helps.

sometimes it pays to listen to what the chart is saying than what others are predicting, jmo I fall for that alot myself.
