The name of this procedure is called FACTORING. Factoring is a business that makes loans to other businesses on their security of their accounts receivables or that buys their accounts receivables at a discounted price. This is done all the time by many, many businesses, large and small. It's another way of receiving funds instead of selling Co stock.
