If we don't get a good freeze this winter we might have to hand the south coast over to the insects. I've never seen chiggers in town but we sure got them now and Yellowdog Granny says the crickets are swarming up in West, Texas. Portents are favorable and the Farmers Almanac says its time. I hope so.
