Thx Flobeone and PMS Witch ... I looked there before but I must have had a brain cramp...

Two days of reinstalling the O/S
and
having major problems getting Win Update to finally work
and
then downloading browsers, programs etc.
and
setting up everything has frazzled me out...

...Plus not knowing what caused the crash in the first place...
