Thank you sir,
I appreciate you figuring out what I was asking. I hope you or others con do that again with this one.
Your reply is most of what I was referring to, but what do the other colors represent?
On my Street Smart Edge the volume chart bars are only red or green.
I am new to most of this and still getting my education on trading.
Me = 64 yr. old male still in construction, main help to my 89 yr. old mom and disabled brother, aiming to learn enough about trading to do better than the Firms handling my Roth over the years and watching it lose about 1/2 every market correction.
Trying to start simple and learn to trade long on stocks, ETF/ETNs and learn the rhythm of the market so as to take advantage of the movement. I started in Feb. with the help of a guru thru a friend and that has since dried up and I now get most of my info from Schwab brokers and the Ihub boards as I figure out the few that are trying to provide good accurate advice.
I have made a few good trades and a few that went against me and am just a little below even at this point and looking to do better. I have turned almost all TV, internet and personal time to studying trading, watching the market, following market futures and it's actual movement.
So, if some of y'all remember being new at this and would share some of your guidance and especially some of your first "aha" moments that put you on a better path it will be greatly appreciated. It seems that I learn better "hands on" than reading and applying, without a teacher to show me that I understood what I read. I know, I sound like a basket case but I hope someone will remember being in the same spot way back when.
TIA
