So they are now selling a product that 100s of other companies make
in a Canadian market where there are no riots
and SDI says pepper spray is not effective
SDI is direct competition that is in Canada as well and sells almost the IDENTICAL PRODUCT the LLLI is trying to make and sell
does lighter mean LESS PEPPER SPRAY and LESS EFFECTIVE
Pepper Spray
Pepper spray is an extraction from highly potent chili peppers. It produces a sensation of burning in all human tissue with which it comes into contact. It is especially painful in the eyes, which forces the subject to keep them closed and unable to see. Decontamination occurs through flushing the eyes with water. Although pepper spray deaths have been recorded, the risk is lower than the use of tear gas. Pepper spray is also administered through an aerosol canister.
In order to be effective, pepper spray needs to get into the eyes, while tear gas needs to make contact with the body to cause pain and discomfort. Tear gas tends to be more effective than pepper spray in area denial.
