As I have said before, I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We have these four pretty cool sports bar brew pubs called the "Drunken Donkey". It is a cool concept that works well and seems to be successful.

The owners decided to open up a 5th location in a new and different suburb, found a site, painted the inside green like the others, put in beer taps, TV's, the works.

Suddenly, something unexpected happened. The city council of the new location decided they did not want the word "Drunken" on a public sign in their city.

The owners scrambled to figure out what to do. They came up with a new concept, repainted it blue with a new name. It is still a brew pub of sorts but its seafood oriented now and is called "Craft and Crab". All stores seem to be doing fine.

Why do I tell you this story? Because of the cell. I know it may be an old topic but I think the same thing seems to have happened here. A great idea by a new company.. something unexpected happened, things changed and now here we are at a different place than we expected.

Are both SUNW and Drunken Donkey making money in spite of all this? Yes. Do I wish there was a cell and a Drunken Donkey instead? Yes. Do I blame either company for making changes when things went south? No, that's just good business. Change or die. The Donkey guys saved that new location by changing, and SUNW saved (and created a profitable company) by changing too. This is the hazard of dealing with a micro-cap company.

My investing here is purely speculative on the cell

I will admit that when I was looking for a small solar company to invest in, the cell was a deciding factor. But alas, things change. We must change with them as well or go the way of the dinosaur.
