If I hear any rumors it would be on this board. However, at the last annual meeting Kaplan did say the company may work with a 3rd party on the Iso in the future. As we know the Iso broke under load in drag race conditional type tests due to its extreme torque ratio. I recollect Kaplan saying that making it bigger at the time was not a possible solution to the problem -- I think due to form factor since it was under development as an automotive application at that time. I guess the question is: would an off road vehicle ever need to be tested, or could it even be pushed to such a stressful limit in a test since it is, after all, off-road. Maybe they have the leeway re the form factor too. Maybe someone with engineering knowledge on the board could comment.
Kaplan said they suspended Iso development to focus on products that could commercialize and generate cash in a shorter time frame, hence myCadian & the pump/motor tech. He said at the annual that he preaches focus ardently, and focussing on 2 things at once was already stretching it a bit.
