Just what did Kennedy do to get missels removed from Cuba?

Kennedy made a secret deal with Russia to remove some of our missiles from Turkey, a tit for tat for removing theirs from OUR back yard. That was not publicized for awhile, most people think it is the naval blockade that did it. The blockade heightened the drama but the brinksmanship damned near got us nuked by the russians and would have probably led to the end of civilization as we knew it, as Kennedy would likely have retaliated in a big way. You can come out from under your desk now.
