Property taxes in this state (nj) are completely out of control. A huge portion of the money is syphoned off and sent to the Abbott School Districts -- impoverished areas in the worst parts of the state... Newark, Camden, Paterson, et.al. We've poured millions into these hopeless cesspools for the last 30-40? years to no avail. We spend more per student in these crapholes than we do in the affluent, academically successful areas of the state. It is redistribution of wealth to the nth degree. I find it particularly appalling since I did not have children. After a certain age (I vote for 65), we should be exempt from the school portion of the taxes. We've already paid for two generations. Enough is enough.

That being said... Springsteen and Bon Jovi vote for and push the demonrats on the rest of us. I have no sympathy for them if their "farmland" gets reclassified.
