Funny you mention that, just last night I reset to a previous build, 1511, from the Anniversary Edition. Not only did the Anniversary Edition make things twice as slow and even worse, but it reactivated Cortana and re-enabled all of the tracking features I had disabled. My automatic connection to the net took 4 to 5 times longer and a couple of minutes of inactivity would disconnect me where before I could leave my computers unattented for as long as I wanted without a disconnect. There were a bunch of other installed invasive and unwanted crap as well - just an awful experience.

I don't know if you've reset yet, but one credit goes to MS for making it as easy and efficient as can be. I run a minimum of apps by design so had no issue there. In the following link ignore the ads for drivers software etc. as no third party programs are required. This procedure was extremely easy and took about 20 minutes, much quicker and smoother than the install.

I'm running lickity split on both computers now, better than before, as I guess the reset got rid of some encumberances I had built up.
