The settings for my Synaptics Touchpad is one of the things that MS keeps resetting. I have to load a profile to get my mouse settings where they are even useable. When MS does a big update, I have to use 'regedit' to change a setting in the registry or I would have to reload the touchpad profile every single time I powered up. MS blames it on HP, and HP blames it on MS. The user suffers.
