my memory is that in one case a dictator invaded a sovereign nation and in another 4 commercial jets were highjacked and 3000 mostly US citizens were killed by terrorists who were aided and abetted by the government of Afghanistan.

These wars are the only wars in U.S. history we didn't raise taxes to pay for. Second, we were obligated to spend trillions on wars to kick out a dictator that Reagan/Bush supported? Why didn't we finish the work back when George Sr. was president?


Third, blowing up Afghanistan has done what for the country and terrorism? We increased our national debt by trillions of dollars and for what return?

talking about cutting budget deficits is a canard.

I don't follow? Annual U.S. deficits have fallen every year under Clinton and Obama. During Clinton's tenure annual deficits declined from approx $300 million in his first year to an annual surplus of $230 million. Annual deficits under Obama...have declined from $1.4 billion to $0.4 billion. We're making progress although Trump wants to reverse this by increasing deficits and the national debt by $5 trillion.
