So you have some experience with beach prospecting. It looks pretty easy (and lucrative)with the right equipment. Perhaps you can help identify the community/cove that was shown in my original post. I currently reside in southern CA, and have prospected around the western United States for the past thirty years. Our state and federal government is trying to prevent us from suction dredging in any of the streams and rivers around, so I am always interested in new (or old) ways and locations to get some gold in my pan. I just signed up to join the American Prospectors and Treasure Seekers (APTS) for a Thanksgiving Outing in Quartzite AZ. Late fall, early spring or winter is about the only time to venture out in the Mohave...for me at least. I just purchased a dry washer and am eager to give it a whirl. I know our mining seasons are reversed, and I am curious about beating the heat next summer and driving a big rig I've converted into a camper up to the AK ferry. What low impact recreational mining opportunities exist in southern Alaska for this tourist, next summer? Forgive my chattiness. Beach placers fascinate me. S~P
