I have seen and handled plates which have been shot many times. I have been present for presentation and demonstration to prospective buyers and users. The current versions of plates have little or no distortion on the back as a result of the frontal bullet impact. The entire plate, including the back, is covered with the same fabric as the front of the plate.

Furthermore, there is no spall from the kryron plate.

Additionally, it weights less than ceramic plates, or even the Kryron plates used a few years ago.
