Recent article describing wave power technologies doesn't mention OPT:

Wave produced electricity online in Hawaii

It mentions both Europe and China as being ahead of us in this technology, but the only competitor actually named is the U.S. based Northwest Energy Innovations. Their buoy tech captures horizontal as well as vertical movement, while the current OPT offerings only capture the vertical, as far as I can tell. It would appear OPT is a bit ahead of NEI in deployment. But I know nothing of other competitors. Does anyone else here?

Small position started at $7.70. Technically appears broken down, and if market corrects at all, thinking this could get back into the $5s, where I'd nibble a bit more. This pending further research on competing efforts and impact on OPT's business.

Here's one that seems to have deployed prototypes at least, but whose website is short on detail (haven't watched the videos yet)

Wavepower

And another that employs a different approach, but can still be considered a competitor:

Eco Wave Power
