Authentise are not competitors. They have no AM technical expertise or metallurgy/welding experts. They have an IT solution for gathering and managing basic manufacturing tasks and have added some basic capability to visually monitor a build with standard sensors and maybe to compare some physical characteristics to the CAD file on a very basic level, but no where as complex as PrintRite. The Sigma team has decades of technical knowledge and experience so they understand the physics of what in happening in the AM build and can extract and process build data in a much more meaningful way.

Authentise is not in the same sandbox as Sigma. They may be wandering around the AM playground and may understand the Sigma software platform but I doubt they understand the science inside.

If anything, I would think that Authentise would want to enhance their software by being able to link in with PrintRite as another option for their potential customers that may be running PrintRite on their AM printers. They may be able to build an interface to PrintRite as a blackbox but they are not going to build a blackbox with the same capabilities.
